Disaster January 23, 2022
The relatively new NFL
playoff format is an unmitigated disaster as both #1 playoff seeds from each
conference were eliminated from the playoffs based upon some very backward
thinking tied into maintaining an AFC/NFC mentality & concepts that should
have died off years ago. If the intent is to get two best franchises
facing-off against each other in the NFL's greatest event ... what does it
matter what conference that they represent as after all ... at the end of the
day as they say ... there will be 31 disappointed franchises & only one
world champion.
For earning the #1 seed in each conference, both the Fudger's & Titans
should of faced the playoff lowest seeds in the first round of the playoffs
giving them the opportunity of warming up for the playoffs like Penn State
scheduling Rutgers's on opening day of the season. Said another way, they
both needed a tune-up before facing the finality of NFL's sudden death playoff
format. Instead, the Fudger's opened against one of the most dangerous
playoff teams ... which could also have been the hottest wildcard hitting the
playoffs. The result ... an unmitigated disaster. What happened in
the NFL yesterday, in no uncertain terms, cannot be good for the NFL in any way
shape or form. Sure, I'm immensely entertained ... but after all ... I
don't count.
Don't get me wrong, as a diehard Viking fans with purple blood pumping through
my veins, having the over-rated A. A. Ron suffer without all that helpful
laundry strewn upon the field to help him win games ... well ... I'm LMAO.
However, in the NFL ... it's about one thing & one thing only ... MAXIMUM
ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Today, in the NFL, there are only two real choices. Have the commissioner
schedule a crew of laundry guys that can ensure a specific result of the game
(December 28, 1975) or the NFL can change their mindset into delivering a viable
product that ensures that the best team advance to provide the most entertaining
& wholesome product ... that can stands without controversy. Would it
be great to say, "WE JUST GOT BEAT!, like in the old
days."
If the NFL had instead pitched out the AFC/NFC conference playoff format &
instead assigned each team a specific playoff seeding based upon the seasons
overall performance using a New Playoff Seeding
Format, & had eliminated the
in breading of divisional play, in favor nine (9) conference games & eight
(8) non-conference games, the NFL's
14-Game Playoff Format could have been something completely different.
One thing for certain would have resulted, dependent upon that new seeding
format, the highest losing NFL's seed would still have a shot at this years
Lombardi (losing both home field advantage & sacrificing it's seeding at the
next level). Instead, we now get to hear A. A. Ron complain once again,
thereby destroying one of the NFL's greatest franchises in favor of getting to
play with the next "SUPER TEAM" like Brady always gets to do.
Isn't the NFL is some ways laughable? Brady might be a substandard piece
of trash ... but he's always one step ahead of you! That is ... until the
NFL gets ahold of this crap & gets it back to a level playing
field.
Was the NFL served its greatest wild card weekend or was that a disaster
too. Unless you live on planet Mars there is no way that the Eagles should
have made the playoffs nor did they provide the entertainment that the patrons
of league wanted. Their playoff seeding was based upon a much weaker
schedule (the luck of the draw) & the manipulation of the inbred Divisional
games in favor of a Hybrid 17 Game Season.
Isn't it time for the NFL Hatred Lottery as
after all ... all those knucklehead fantasy owners need something that they can
call their own? Throughout the 2021 season, the eyes upon this Viking
franchise were without precedent ... as Troy Aikman had said ... this game
... what ever game it was ... was guaranteed to be entertaining ... because this
Vikings franchise could win or lose any game in which they played. In
other words, if you were a NFL consumer, you could stand on this corner right
here ... and you could witness an live horrific car accident ... in real time
... GUARANTEED! It didn't happen based upon the NFL format that's has been
manipulated for years.
Instead, Kirk Cousins has taken on the pariah moniker for getting both his GM
& Head Coach, amongst others ... shown the door! Good luck with that
Dude! All because he was told, "You belong here is Minnesota"
instead of having to be told like Brady, "Maybe you'll get to carry this
clip board here". The result, "I have the talent to make up for
any mistake that I make" instead of understanding that many many others had
to make up for his mistakes, thereby destroying the integrity of everything
around him. Not to worry though as Marino & Elway did the same
thing ... that is ... until Elway actually listened to his coach utilizing this
little no-name running back. Neither Kapp, Keenum or Frerotte had even a
fraction of your talent but they made certain that "POSITIVE" resulted
on almost every NFL play because they chunked it out ... they couldn't rely on
their talent to recover while playing mediocre teams.
The NFL has made numerous drastic changes over the years as the game of the 60's
or 70's barely resembles the track shows of today but for some reason ... there
are things that are held sacrosanct like established NFL inbred concepts.
It's time for a change as it's not just about offense, fantasy, & lame
entertainment.
HIGHLIGHTER
PURPLE:
Most NFL teams have a three color format, where white is universal to every
franchise. Since the Ravens of Baltimore stole purple for themselves,
leaving the Vikings in the cold, they also stole 4 primary colors in the format:
Purple, Yellow, Black & White. This Vikings Franchise only has two
colors: Green Bay Yellow & dark (with red) purple, as white is a universal
away color. It is time that we do what the Seahawks did, where they
changed that dark green color into High-Lighter-Green which has given them numerous
advantages ... especially playing the Vikings. Before the Highlighter
Purple color scheme is stolen by another franchise we should make every effort
to steel this color for ourselves as I personally hate our present purple/yellow
Rush color scheme. Isn't it time that this franchise change it's format to
a four color scheme of Dark-Purple, Yellow, Highlighter Purple & Black &
actually respond to the Ravens for stealing purple from this
franchise.
