Vista's November 17, 2023
A vista is generally thought of as a point of reference that gains an incredible
point of view. Recently we traveled to Mount Vernon, VA ... a tourist trap
... the home of George Washington. A historic setting entrenched within
American history, marred by slavery, that now obscures an incredible yearning
... now having no reference to the roots & origins of American
Freedom. No where do you hear the words ... "Have I not (yet) done
enough ... for my country". In the vastness of this uniquely American
Experiment lies the ideas of a great people ... keenly aware of the historic
depravity of mankind ... combined with the historic oppressive nature of it's
elites and it's leadership. As oppression knows no color, no gender, no
religion ... as it exist within our every breath. Well, Mount Vernon
overlooks George Washington's Potomac River with a truly breath taking vista ...
where old George ... a surveyor by trade ... loved this great river... and all
of it's secrets.
Well, if you know the history of this Minnesota Vikings franchise well, then you
will understand the history of it's vista's. Many are keenly aware of its
presence knowing the gut tying nature having to confront upcoming contests where
we know that we have something ... but we're just not sure exactly what that
might be. Robert E. Lee once remarked that you must be willing to
sacrifice it all in order to achieve that great victory ... which worked quite
well at Chancelorsville ... but not so much at Gettysburg. We have had
more than our share of the later. However, everything can change based
upon your perspective ... or in our case ... OUR VISTA.
Now, we'll start by asking the question, Do you feel like you just soiled
yourself or are you watching someone else beginning to squirm? That in
itself is THE PERSPECTIVE. From this you will notice that your walking
toward that magnificent VISTA.
Looking back, the perspective by the Detroit Lions reviewing the start of this
franchises 2023 season ... well ... let's just say it was "Chops
Licking" for the kitties. After a 0-3 start, the statistics started
coming in hot & heavy, where the Vikings were to sell off our assets in a
wholesale fashion as we couldn't win, or even get to ... the playoffs. For
all purpose, our 2023 season was dead & buried, which was only that more
enticing after the loss to Kansas City & the loss of Justin Jefferson to
injured reserve for at least four (4) weeks leaving us at 1-4 on the
season. It would be on cruse control toward the NFC's North Crown with
MEEEOOOW's all around. Then we'd ask the Zen Master, isn't this terrible
where he'd reply ... "We'll see".
Then we'd win a couple of games, starting our rebound with Kirk Cousins at the
helm where things are looking up again ... looking upward from this terrible
hole ... only to have our franchise quarterback tear his Achilles Tendon.
Once again, that feline jumps up on our lap ... loving absolutely all of it ...
where the incessant internal purring rumbles ever louder upon this Viking
Nation. Our thoughts quickly turn to the self destruction on par with
suicide &/or self mutilation or self abuse to take our minds off just one
more season of massive disappointment. Oh, Zen Master, isn't this terrible
where he'd reply ... "We'll see".
MIRACLE
Now, we don't know anything about Joshua Dobb's other than he has a clean slate
playing for this Minnesota Viking's franchise. So far it's been ... let us
say ... more than impressive ... as the it is all fitting together like a
glove. Under Kirk Cousins direction (Don't forget to thank him) he helped
to both guide & build this malicious group of knuckleheads into a
machine. Based upon circumstances, Dobb's has every possible incentive in
front of him where he is unlikely to choose the path of Case Keenum, our 2017
quarterback. Like Curt Warner, he's long awaited his opportunity to start
in this league, and he has certainly made the most of it. Not to worry
about Kirk Cousins as in the past he chased the money where in time he will be
the most sought after free agent quarterback in NFL's history. In fact,
all these upcoming free agents are going to "Set the Market", if they
can bring it ... the catch ... all home.
Kansas City will expose the chirps as the Talon's fall off this mighty bird ...
as it passes the gauntlet of Frankenstein (Chief's), Buffalo, 9ers, Pokes &
Sea Cocks. These birdies are the only team that holds the tie breaker over
us where a different NFC East Division Champion would open up the NFL's greatest
prize & the door to the NFC North.
Now they might be correct about Dobbs in that he's playing over his head &
that he is just not that good. Well they can say whatever they want but
they cannot will that to happen, no matter how envious they might be. They
can call him a perpetual backup, where they can say that he's doesn't posses the
talent of an elite quarterback but you may not have noticed in that he is now a
starter ... our starter ... where it insults both his & our intelligence to
refer to him as a backup ... it's just mean spirited. So, let me
see. You're newest statement to the Zen Master is ... this dude Dobb's is
an aberration, a fraud, a perpetual back up, a running idiot that's going to get
hurt, a mistake ridden interception machine, etc., etc., etc ... to which the
Zen Master once again replies, "We'll see". By the way ...
Envy is not your best color ,,, as green is no longer is vogue ... think purple,
gold & white.
Now peer into the NFL itself. They had two opportunities of moving this
Minnesota Vikings Franchise out of the prime time slot on Sunday Night Football
& on the following week on Monday Night Football. Why would they not
have selected some other alterative as there is a hole host of juicy contests
out there? Weren't the Lions this years team of destiny?
Weren't they anointed ... without question? What about all those
questionable calls that helped to secure all those questionable outcomes?
Could it be that pure entertainment can actually outweigh the absurd & the
rediculous? The league will also have two or more upcoming contests where
they can reschedule this franchise into a prime time slots as history will be
fought for & paid in blood. Like it or not, regardless of who they
might be playing, this years story has turned to an unknown ... a cast off ... a
brain ... a jet with winged feet ... a smile ... a big lovable Teddy Bear ...
all combined within the realm of the Zen
Master.
To be direct, perusing U-Tube, a Detroit Lion commentator began his spiel.
Behind him was Lion stuff all around. Throughout he lamented Lion's
history that unfolded year after year. He asked the Cosmo's ... could it
be ... again? What was clear was that the tied had turned. It wasn't
me that was looking over my shoulder ... it was him. The hunter has became
the hunted. The perspective has changed.
Not to worry though. This is all just an aberration ... a Kennard ... a fallacy.
There is no way that this kid Dobbs is that good. "We'll see"!
From my perspective ... this is one hell of a VISTA!
