Universal Franchise Unrest - Rodger's Clear Game Plan  May 3, 2021
If you're looking for answers in regard to all of today's franchise unrest you need to look no further than our present system of skirting the salary cap under the world of Tom Brady.  Under Brady's regime, his franchise understood that you could not over-pay every player to keep them on your roster.  Instead, they would allow players to leave, sign big money guarantees with another franchise.  Then all that player would need to do is to act in a complete reckless manner to get his outright release.  In other words, the cup-boards of all 32 franchise are wide open ... it is ... if there is a player out there that's willing to destroy his reputation for an increased probability at a Super Bowl Championship.  Good thing they've earned millions of dollars to repair that ill-gotten feelin'.

These released players are still under contract, in that they are going to be paid guaranteed money ... however with that release, they are treated as free agents rather to submit to the waiver wire which puts them at risk of being stuck on a less then adequate franchise.  In other words, that released player gets to move to a franchise of their choosing which in effect skirts the NFL salary cap.  Under Tom Brady's latest Super Bowl championship ... how many of those players on his roster where being paid by other franchises to play for the Tampa Bay's franchise.

A. A. Ron's NFL MVP 2020 season blew up when his tackle Bakhtiari ended the 2020 season on injured reserve.  That injury not only sunk 2020 but will also impact his 2021 season too as the injury occurred at the end of the 2020 season.  A. A. Ron's time in Green Bay was at best 2020 & 2021 knowing only too well the Favre debacle combined with the Love #1 pick in 2020 rather than to select an impact wide receiver.  The inbred Divisional format will not allow the Packer's another top playoff seed, without significant future concessions, which means things look bleak at best for A. A. Ron in Green Bay in 2021.  Enter Tom Brady & his full proof format of skirting the cap system.

A. A. Ron surveys the every NFL franchise, less the franchises that could never be in play like the Vikings.  Could you imagine a trade of Cousins for A. A. Ron ... I don't think so?  The most sense in my mind is the Vegas Raiders ... opening that new stadium.  Now combine that thought with a virtual unlimited list of released players ... still receiving guaranteed money from the other 31 franchises ... and you have the recipe of a A. A. Ron Super Bowl season.  Is it now any wonder why A. A. Ron is demanding that the Packer's trade him?

One losing season in Green Bay versus one Super Bowl Season in Vegas.  For A. A. Ron this is a no-brainer.  His only problem is that he's in competition with Russel Wilson which won't happen because of that inbred-division-factor.  Could some other elite quarterback be in competition with A. A. Ron ... Stay tuned?  I wonder what Jon Gruden would offer for Kirk Cousins ... as after all ... the cost for MVP A. A. Ron would involve severing extremities.  Hey, Favre made the Vikings his bitch ... maybe this franchise will do it again.  The real question for the Raiders being ... is it the chicken or the egg?  Is it the actual elite quarterback or was it that Tom Brady New England Patriot system that gives Vegas its best opportunity to dominate the 2021 season.  My guess is that it's the later ... but after all ... it's hard to see it with blinders on.

Hey, it worked for Tom Brady & it can work for any elite quarterback!  Oh Yeah!  The word universal is used because it's coming to a franchise near you.  Do you think the fans ... you know ... the ones footing the bills ... will they actually figure this thing out?

For the 32 NFL owners, skirting the cap is nothing new as Tom Brady & the Patriots have been doing this for years.  The thought being that one day the windfall will eventually fall into my lap combined with the thought that dynasties are always a good thing.  To be direct, dynasties will never be a good thing ... ever!   What trickles down to you is a lot like the beer residue off a used six pack directed into a fan.

Until this salary cap loop hole is closed, combined with the elimination of inbred divisional play ... there will be unrest throughout the league.   Last years 2020 season is now the proof in the puddin'!

For years Head Coach Mike Zimmer hinted at A. A. Ron's retirement as his most disruptive presence within his division.  Now Green Bay is in absolute turmoil.  Maybe it's time for Zim to put Tom Brady on his Christmas Card list because all his efforts were futile compared to the Tom Brady's NFL salary cap skirt.  This wasn't invented by the Patriots as you need to look back no further than the Cowboys & 49ers of the past, when the false-cap was actually put into place ... to prevent this.  Isn't it odd how rules only apply to those that actually play by them.
