Moron Sabotage October 24, 2021
Regardless of how you might
feel about pressure, the most important pressure that we face is Moron Sabotage
... in other words, we sabotage ourselves ... except in our somewhat recent
history.
This fact might have fallen under your radar but at the end of our 98 season,
Randal Cunningham signed a 25 million dollar deal. The question that you
should be asking yourself, as he did play a role in our demise, was the timing
of that deal prudent? In other words, should we have held our negotiated
deal until after he secured a Super Bowl Victory? Sure there were allot of
other key major factors leading to our demise in 98, but what did this contract
extension play in that playoff run as allot of things needed to stack upon
itself ... for us to lose? Then ask yourself the question, after that
contract, what resulted from Mr. Cunningham as it paid backwards ... not forward
... which is now without doubt.
Then of course there was the improbable Case Keenum NFC championship loss.
Here was a 2nd string quarterback being paid in the 2 million dollar range ...
for that season only. At that moment in time, all that historic
"Moron Sabotage" might have stepped in, to offer him a long term
contract extension, like they did in 1998, but cooler heads prevailed.
Sure, we were eventually sold out by Case, but all we lost was that title shot,
as it could have been much worse. You have Head Coach Mike Zimmer's glaring
eye to thank for that brilliant insight. Maybe it was due to Case's
unexplained performance versus Kirk Cousin's Washington team that prevented
Teddy Bridgewater's mop-up return from ever seeing that field on that day.
Due to the skillful holding of ones load (our patients), Case Keenum left us the
opportunity of sending him packing with no future monetary commitment onto our
present path. Job well done I say as Case was nothing more than an
unexplained enigma leaving this franchise with a knife in our
back.
Some could argue, that after that 2nd playoff victory versus the Saints, where
Kirk Cousins hit Adam Thielen in overtime on a huge down-the-field throw
followed by a Rudolph snatch in the end zone, the Moron Sabotage team stepped in
by offering Kirk Cousins his second contract extension with this
franchise. Now regardless of how you might feel about that extension, that
contract secured our future to this very moment, where that contract is now in
its present maximum leverage stance. Why? Well compare this moment
to Rodger Staubach's 1971 season of uncertainty that guaranteed his franchises
all that future success. Since that Saint's playoff victory, things
haven't been pleasant & there has been no NFL Super Bowl victory but we
learned something vital. Again, much of the outcome of that 2nd contract
cannot be dished upon Kirk Cousins alone, but all future payouts will be based
upon his direct influence upon the required result as opposed to imagining what
might happen after that Saints victory. Yes, Kirk Cousins should now be
capable of achieving the pinnacle.
UNCERTAINTY COMPELS
Now we see Kirk Cousins actually driving "FRANCHISE KILL SITES".
To be direct, we've already paid quite handsomely for this performance however
what is now driving his production? Could it be Head Coach Mike Zimmer's
recent hands-on approach with Kirk or is there some sort of external driving
force at play? To be direct, it is definitely the latter as you must
consider how this thing might play out. Presently, Kirk Cousins is at the
very top of the wage scale in 2021 however under his present contract in 2022
he's either trade bait for very high level draft picks or he realizes the
"OUTCOME CARROT", which is so immense as to be unthinkable or
unimaginable. If Kirk Cousins can pull off a Super Bowl Victory on
February 13, 2022, not only does his family get to stay in Shangri La, that is
Minnesota, he will be due quite a sizable extension for winning this franchises
first Super Bowl, that is, if the Moron's Sabotage doesn't enter the
picture. In other words, It's either a put up or shut up scenario.
Don't mess that up by even considering "Moron
Sabotage".
In years past, Kirk Cousins would say something about losing games as if you've
got to expect it. That is no longer the case as anything within his grasp
is not only obtainable ... it's doable & now that's combined with a no
choice scenario ... as he must win ... as his very future depends upon
it. Kirk now has every tool that he's ever needed to get him deep into the
playoffs. No one has seeded this divisions to the "Bay-Fudgers"
as there is simply too much season & too many gifts that A. A. Ron will need
... to make it so. No one in the entire NFC has Kirk's arrangement of
tools. Is there any better balance combination of attackers of Griffen,
Pierce, Tomlinson, Hunter screened by Kendricks & Barr? I don't think
so.
As for Zulgad, your brilliant analogy of just follow what I say by throwing the
ball deep to Thielen, Jefferson & Osborn isn't going to just happen without
protection to get it there. 40% goes to Christian Darrisaw (& Rashod
Hill for getting him there) which is working toward solidifying the left side,
25% to Cousins for his overall command of the game, 10% to Cook & Mattison
as the twins are MVP workhorses & 15% to the defense that still cannot stop
the run (which as it stands will not sKowl in Baltimore).
Since December 28, 1975 a
great deal of consternation has gone into understanding the success of the
Dallas Cowboys, which almost never used round 1 draft pick QB's to get them
there. The latest version of course is under the guise of DAK. In
studying all those draft picks, it is clear that the Cowboys are squarely
focused on the run game. Stated another way, DAK is going to get his yards
... no problemo ... just not over the top. However, if you cannot stop the
run game ... which is now a two headed monster (see the Stains), you will
lose. No matter the score, the Cowboys will never give up on the run ...
especially in the 3rd & 4th quarter & in the red zone. Align to
take away the run & piss on Poke yards between the 20's which look good only
on stat sheets.
There are many that are still not paying attention but #51 Wyatt Davis actually
dressed for Weekend #6 in the NFL. As the degree- of difficulty increases
(Pokes, Birdies, Grounded-Bolts & Bay-Fudger), a slight "experience
rotation" might become evident ... pressing toward our future. Does
& will a Super Bowl run be dependent upon getting Wyatt's feet wet &
what might be discerned from his drive blocking when teams want no part of a
late run game? Could there be a new "Dust Devil" blowing out of
the mid west (Iowa} set to test all those 3rd & 4th quarter weary
struts? Regardless of the lead ... open the can!!!
