Cosmic Shift November 7, 2023
We've seen it before. It's when the cosmos enters the stage with his
mighty hand. We all live within normalcy ... expecting the same thing ...
day after day. Then we see the flash and ask ourselves exactly what did we
just witness. Not understanding that there is a new time line forced into
a different reality weather we like it or not.
Now imagine being the anchor of this great ship. Metaphorically you can
neither set the anchor nor pull it towards its new destiny. In other
words, although the ghost can imagine his tears ... imagine his destination ...
it can never be. Ownership can not (can't) act like fools. They have
obligations. They are proud. They have passion. They have a
reality that they can never understand. For them, confronting insanity
& the insane moves that lead us takes more than courage ... it takes
resolve. Suffice it to say that this humble implement must stay steadfast
only to yearn from afar. Adrian must stay ... we must stay. Will he
find the Ghost. Has he yet seen enough or will there be more.
We love to consume entertainment. We are especially drawn to live events
because either you're in it to be its witness or you choose the path of history
never really understanding the formula. It's like watching a woman
applying perfume ... never getting to smell it. Now, you've seen it light
up. The commentators know something has happened they just don't know
exactly what it is. How do they access it? How do they support
it? How do they act? Of course, it is always best to report it, then
dismiss it to various degrees ... that is ... until you have no choice but to
confront "The Shift".
Do you remember seeing Lawrence Taylor or Randy Moss for the first time?
Our eyes widened ... we maybe even rubbed them ... only to ask ourselves exactly
what did we just see. There was no answer from the Cosmos ... we just had
to take the ride with everyone else. If you were apart of what is now 31
others, you tried to dismiss it but in time it turned into envy. Like a
great tragic accident, we couldn't look away ... we just wanted to be apart of
it ... to be apart of history as it unfolded in front of our
eyes.
Hopefully we don't make the same mistake that we did with Keenum's lack of
support. Sure, he couldn't be trusted, where it appeared in Washington
against this same Kirk Cousins (to keep Teddy Bridgewater off the field) and as
it turned out in Philadelphia, but it was wrong to allow others to pigeon hole
Keenum as a quarterback that was not elite. Commentators gave us weekly
reminders of that opinion where all that was needed to be said is, "You
know no one gets to decide if someone it elite or not ... that can only be
determined by what's done on that field. If you think that we must wait
& see ... then I'll do that but until then he's got my support."
Keenum was never given that courtesy as he was undercut by everyone &
everything & from everywhere ... even his head coach. All he needed to
say instead was, "All I ask is to able to see it on the field. Let's
leave it as that!"
So let me get this correct. You've snatched a Super Bowl winning offensive
coordinator ... that worked directly with ... hand in hand with the goat ... to
instill an image of trust based upon results. You jettisoned heavily
ladened contracts under a bull goose lunatic guy named Quesi, creating an environment
of hunger within the organization that is filled with lunch pail types that are
fighting toward their future paydays. You then incorporate a proven jettisoned
defensive genius, who cut his teeth under Bill Belichick, and hired him as your
coordinator with one undeniable mind set ... attack, attack, attack ... that
sits back for no one! You've got a offensive mastermind calling up plays
designed to get players open on every play for a pocket passer which is combined
with an bunch of elite eager & a very hungry skill players. Combine
that with what is now the two most dangerous wide receivers in the league.
Now sprinkle on the bacon bits of having an elite offensive line that's designed
to protect a pocket passer that always went down in the pocket because he didn't
have the ability or the where with all to escape it. Ok ... OK, I get
it. I'm not done yet. Now to add the little tidbits of adding in a
literal rocket scientist that had a 4.0 GPA (means very very smart) to take the
helm of this mighty once floundering ship, that's now on the steepest learning
curve imaginable, that has the ability to both find & hit all those open
elite receivers ... combined with one more thing, that he clearly appears to
have the athletic skills of some other quarterback named Lamar that's now
tearing up the league.
Did you need a Tums to digest all of this? Are you starting to see the
picture now? Not to worry though, because nothing has changed & of
course we'll need to see it on the field. Now don't concern yourself to
much because all this cat needs is this franchises unwavering commitment to him
... like that given to Patrick Mahomes" ... which has nothing to do with
money ... where of course we have little history of
giving.
Now add on one additional thought. In Quesi's madness, he chose not to
commit to Kirk Cousins, where Cousins created this "Monster of Pieces"
that he destined for himself that just proves his true genius. Do you
think this Rocket Man is eager to impress knowing that the door is open?
Is he hungry? Is he capable? Is he elite?
All we know today is what the commissioner has given us for our
consumption. The insufferable Eagles having mastered the Bush Push (what
was once an illegal NFL play ) combined with Frankenstein ... the Kansas City Chiefs
with their traveling flag show. Just take a gander at the lack of calls
Miami got playing in Philadelphia & Kansas City is no different. Let
me be the first to tell you that we all talk & the commissioners
insufferable plan for these two is backfiring spectacularly. They aren't
earning it. Does anyone remember when they just used to let them play
without all that influenced laundry ... or the lack where of. I'm
wondering if there's enough money on the Raven's or is that going badly
too.
Now let me insult everyone's intelligence where I believe the Cowboys should
have easily won in Philadelphia last week as they clearly were the better team
& just couldn't put it together. But, calling the Giants vs. Cowboys
as the game of the (next) week, to watch them lick their wounds at the expense
of the lowly Giants on National TV is a joke. There is a Hurricane Brewing
& it has nothing to do with the Pokes.
Did anyone notice what occurred after the Falcon's safety last week and did you
notice that the Falcons themselves called upon the gods framing their hands
& arms to indicate the signal for a safety? Maybe you've noticed the
same signaled framing performed by all those ravenous fans as they perform the
Skol Chant back in Minnesota. Just a coincidence ... I don't think
so! They were dancing in celebration in Atlanta like dancing upon a
sacred Indian burial ground. There is a moral to this story.
It is ok celebrate for your team & for your mates but at all times we must
retain our humble demeanor as at every event we are made to overcome our own
sets of diversity.
As for Mr. Dobbs, you faced a host of great defenses ... including smashing the
Pokes ... to hone your skills at this level however you were apart of a team
that had a very different approach to this game. In your case, when the
door of despair was closed ... an opportunity opened ... for you to write your
own script. Although the Cardinal's & no other NFL franchise tanks,
they did everything that they could to ensure that very thing. Last weeks
Cardinal performance is an indicator of that having replaced you, thereby
diminishing your status into obscurity. This Viking's team has been dead
& buried week after week in this 2023 season where even after last weeks
downing the Fudgies, we dropped in the power rankings. They pointed to the
Loss of Cousins. The question is, what are you going to do about it?
Will they take notice of everyone around you? Will they take notice of
you? Will they give you the courtesy of having the chance to be the elite
Mr. Dobbs because ... it is too easy to mock & criticize from their lofty
perch? As of this moment in time ... you are one & done ... and apart
of history. There even questioning your grades. To which we say ...
Not so fast...
We will be watching where you have already given us much more than we ever
thought could possibly happen for this franchise. We've endured every
possible curve ball that this league has to offer. Is it time for a
change? The whole world is now your stage.
