17 Game Revisit
Revisiting the "17 Game Season
World League" concept, this Vikings franchises 2021 home schedule
would remain the same playing the Steelers, Browns, Rams, Seahawks &
Cowboys, having to play the Bangles, Ravens, 49ers, Cardinals & Panthers
away but instead of maintaining the incestuous NFC north schedule they would
instead play the Bills & Patriots away having the Jets & Dolphins at
home. As for the Divisional games, although the starting rotation could be determined by some
sort of draw, it might be the Bears at home, with the Packers in Green Bay, playing the Lions at some neutral site like London, Mexico City, Toronto or in
Tokyo Japan building the NFL brand world wide.
In the 2022 season they would play the Lions at home, Bears away & the
Packers at a neutral sight playing a home & away schedule versus the AFC
West & South divisions. The remaining three NFC conference games would be
based upon where they finished in the NFC north in 2021.
As for this 2020 seasons 7 team conference playoff format, that first round bye
into the winner bracket is beyond ridiculous, especially if that #1 seed was
green stamped to the conference final based upon some flawed buttercup
schedule. Having maybe the hottest team entering the playoffs play the #2
seed, followed by the #1 seed, then potentially having to play the #3 seed, for
the right to play in the Super Bowl is laughable. For the 2021 season we
all expect there to be a 16 team playoff format, with eight teams from each
conference, were the right to play in the winners bracket will actually be
earned, actually attempting to play playoff caliber teams ... not just a bunch
of cream puffs ... or stricken invalids ... from that regular season
schedule. Yup! Wuhan 19 exposed the flaw. Amen
